The Comeback

Well it's official I am attempting to make a come back to Nordic skiing. While some people may have never realised I took some time away from the sport, I did take last year off from racing and international competition. It was great to have a summer, my first in 6 years. I managed to finish off my degrees and kept busy compeating almost every weekend in running or cycling races and even trying my hand at long distance triathlon.

While the summer was great, I certinally missed the sport and am super excited to get back to racing. I started my new job, managing the Snow Farm ski area and got settled into life on the snow once again. While I was extremely busy with my new role I did find time to head out for a ski every now and again and even competed in the FIS races held in August. I was happy with the way I raced in those races sealing my return to the sport.

Thanks to some great support from some fantastic new sponsors, AON insurace along with Kirkland Morrison O'Calllahan limited, I have been able to travel back to Canada and get back to putting some good time on snow. Im still a little unsure how I will stack up compared to where I was last time I raced but thats all part of the excitment I guess. I race this weekend in the first of the Alberta Cups here in Canmore. Hopefully I havent forgotten what to do out there.

Till next time (hopefully less than a year this time).
